for some unknown reason, my dome light keeps shorting out. the first time it happened, i took it to the dealership and they fixed it within an hour. then it happened again! it will flicker real fast then boom, its gone. so i got it replaced again. now guess what, it has gone out a third time. does anyone have any suggestions? i have a feeling my alarm might have something to do with it cause when you activate/deactive the alarm, it blinks all my lights; including my reverse indiglo gauges which have already gone out once too. i dont want to have to replace these too. my gauges arent covered under warrenty. if it means anything, its a cobra alarm. circuit city installed it.

i would say take it back to circuit city and complain that their alarm keeps blowing your fuses.

I don't think it is circuit city. I have been having the same prob w/ my celica. I have a 2k2 GT w/ Dunroom (sunroof affacts which bulb you use) I bought end of Feb 2k2. It has burnt out twice now and I get the feeling it prolly will again as soon as I bother to get it replaced again. I have no alarm system, CC or otherwise.

hmm. ill take it to circuit city and see what they can do about it. who knows, i might be able to get something out of it. ive also had some minor problems with my cd player they installed also. ill have them check everything out. if its the bulb im using, ill have to tell toyota about that. maybe they can get me some kinda better bulb? when my car gets on the road again ill get everything done.
