I'm forunate enough to be going to Florida for spring break. March 11-21 I'll be in Miami living it up. I agreed to drive my celly and tack on 3000 miles so I didn't have to ride in a a ricer civic. 20 hour trip, 4 guys in a celica will certaintly be an experiance. But anyway I thought I'd buy an alarm just in time so the car doesn't get jacked. WHAT CAR ALARM SHOULD I BUY? Price isn't an issue. And of course I want power locks and auto starter (in my manual). I'm think of getting a compustar one (2WESSR).

you should do a search on the Millinium Max 2-way remote starter, it's a really good alarm with tons of features, there is a thread on here somewhere that explains it pretty good, i'll try and find it for ya

I have the Viper 690vx which is the same as the 7 series only no remote start amongst other things. My friend has The compustar with remote start. I hate to say it but the Compustar is a much better alarm for the money. It has a better range and a lot more features than the Viper. If you can get it installed for $450 or less than don't hesitate...

I got a Black Widow 2150(i think) its a good alarm. If a dump truck or loud car like my neighbors integra come by it will chirp at you. If you tap the side it will chirp and so on. It also has like 4 diffrent modes which I havnt figures out yet. I got it from best buy for like $200 and installed. an extra $10 for the lights to flash. A good deal I wouldnt reccomend getting one offline just to go Circit City or Best Buy.

Get some Nimh (Nickel Metal Hydride). That is what i use in my 790 XV they are like 5 bucks for two. So, when one goes out you can just charge the other one and use the new one.
