I have been looking at this body kit for quite some time...,but the $1800 price tag was quite daunting. They also don't make a replica yet and I was sick of waiting. Luckily the price was right tonight:) cool

Anyone else like the TRIAL kit? Should arrive in a couple weeks and then no more stock look rofl...it's about time. I think it should go with my rims well...what to do you think?

Current setup minus the headlight and sidemarker tint...I will be painting the inside of the headlights jdm style. thumbsup

I think the trial kits SCREAMS for big ass rims and a 2" drop.

So, go 19's and 2" drop.

The 18's I have will look a lot bigger when I drop it. I just wanted to wait and see what kit I bought before deciding on a ride height. But a 2" drop will most likely happen very soon. thumbsup

It is true. I snagged it for a bid of $660 + $150 shipping + $30 insurance ...for a grand total of $840. Not too shabby for a genuine kit that would of cost $1800 from Trial themselves.

That and there is a guy on that other celica site who is selling the trial front alone for $650...not bad at all thumbsup

You boys made me doubt...So I questioned him thoroughly in an email about the authenticity. This is what he replied:

"It is TRial KIt
It is genuine from Japan
Have all the paper works From japan with Registered NUmber on them
Once you bought from us
you can check the paperwork with them
there is seriel number on it
we are not selling replica kits for trial
as we are the agent in south east asia
many thanks
Bestregards,
Ferguslesmanaa"

Keep in mind that he is from Singapore:)

[Linked Image from i8.ebayimg.com]

Seems legit enough for me. Besides, if it turns out to be a replica I can return item and say "item not as described" and get my moola back. The last trial kit he sold went for over a grand with shipping and what not. He claims to be the south east asia agent...perhaps he is.

I dunno, the rear half of the rear bumper is suppose to be black so you have the option of leaving how it is or painting it to match your car. That rear bumper is all one color. Then he calls it the Trial "buddy" kit which Trial doesn't even call it that. And he says that they dont make replicas for Trial. Ofcourse Trial wouldn't hire some one to make replicas of it's bodykits.

If it turns out to be authentic then that's the deal of the yr grin

I talked to a guy over at the other celica site and he he has the authentic kit. He said that the kit comes exactly like the ones in the pics. I don't think trial would paint the back bumper flat black for you... spineyes He said that everyone who gets the kit paints that back part flat black themselves...so I'm not really worried about that aspect.

As for him calling it the "buddy" kit...I don't know he didn't say anything about it when i questioned it in the e-mails. On Trial's site they don't really even have a name for it...so I don't know about that.

I have talked to him a lot though...he seems legit so far. My fingers are crossed as well though smile

It is obvious to me that the kit is not genuine...but for a copy, it seems to have perfect fitment on the sideskirts and front bumper so far(I haven't tried on the back bumper yet). I am pissed the dude is a total liar...but not too dissappointed with this copy.

how much lower is the front bumper than the stock side skirts. I've seen a pic of a Celica with the Trial front & WW sides, but it was from a distance so I couldn't make out if it lined up.

If you are happy with it, then the $600 was well spent.

It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a real one...and when someone hits it, or it gets damaged, you won't be crying over $1800 lost. thumbsup

I would say that it is a good inch and a half lower than stock...I still haven't lowerd my car though so mine appears pretty high in this pic...
