as most of you might know i was gonna get my gauges installed the oil pressure water temp and vold well i gonna do the volt. i need help, ok my mechanic told me that he is willing to install the gauges for me but he told me there mite be a big chance of the engine light to come on and when its time to do the inspection it will not pass because of the light. He said 2 days ago he did that for a acura rsx and the light whent on frown is there a way to get them install so the light wont go on or can some one that has gauges install ask there mechanic what he did so the engine light wont go on thanks a lot everyone

The light should not go on. I would look at a different mechanic maybe someone that specializes in aftermarket parts. Cause mods should not give a CEL unless its done wrong.

mine didn't come on...

and what type of gauges you have? brand? electric or mechanical?

NC has installs on gauges with senders, oil and water. I don't see what would put on a CEL.

yeah, that don't sound right to me, check out my PM and see another shop.
