Had to get new tail lights...
Well... this weekend I was FORCED to get new aftermarket tail lights (TYCs). Sucks huh? Well maybe not.

I broke one of the stock lights by backing into a Ford Explorer this weekend frown Got a few scrapes on the bumper, nothing touch up paint can't handle.

I figured I'd go aftermarket on the lights because I bet the dealer would rape you for another stock tail light. So I'm going to try out the TYC Black on my silver Celica. I haven't seen any pictures online with those tails on a silver celica, so I'll be sure to take some for you guys. Not sure how it's going to look yet, but it had to be done smile I ordered them from matrixracing.com. Should be here in 5-10 days.

Well, depends on what year you want. 00-02 tail lights are dirt cheap. I have a pair redded out sitting in my room if interested. 03 & 04 ones are around $100.

Already bought em... Got the 00-03 Altezza TYC Black for $150 including shipping, so that's not too bad smile

Doh! But this was my chance to sneak some aftermarket parts under my wife's radar... wink I used the excuse "Well dear, it would cost lots more for the dealer to replace it, so I should just buy these cheap aftermarket ones..." thumbsup

Yeah, same here, I have all the stock amber corner lense, tail lights, etc sitting in my closet at my parents' house.

Since I'm getting black tail lights, do you guys think I should get a black CELICA fill-in decal for the trunk handle? I have this feeling that I'll need more black on the tail end to balance out the lights.

Yes, that'll be a perfect accent. I have the carbon fiber rear fill-in with black tycs, and they definitely complement each other.. along with my carbon fiber License Plate Frame. Check profile for pics happywink
