you do know that you will need more money even if you trade in your gts, right?

I love the Celica, but if its what you really want to do, then do it.

ive actually heard that mazda is reimbursing customers with performance parts because of their lack of power. Im sure a gts with a few mods can take a stock rx8.

RX-8 is ugly, and the engine will die before the celica is middle aged. and with the difference in money between the trade you could modify the celica a lot

The RX-8 is highly overrated. Why not trade for an STI?

Well i heard the Rx-8 is faster than the GTS and then i heard it won't so which is it? and you can add f/i to the rotary so there is an aftermarket right?

I myself would just keep the celica due to me not being overly fond of the z nor rx8. I was mearly suggesting if he is in it for power, for around the same price he could get the z.

Maintenence would be much more difficult to obtain, well compared to the Celica. I don't like the shape of the RX-8 but, it's entirely up to you.

I'm right there with you. I think the G35C looks a lot better than the Z.

I did some researching...I'm trying to get rid of my GTS cause it's giving me a lot of trouble with mine. Can you believe car is only year old and it's been in Toyota service for 7 times. All for Check Engine Light. They've already replace most of sensors and spark plugs and etc. I'm just tired of taking my car to service every few weeks. They just can't figure out why CEL is keep coming back. I know Toyota's are very reliable car but not mine. I drove RX-8 and it drive very differently than celica. Drove STI, EVO, 350Z, etc. and I didn't like them. Evo and STi, good engine but crappy finishing touches to the car. 350Z, good car but felt really heavy and crappy transmission. RX-8 was smooth lightweight. Styling wasn't my top choice but I felt very comfortable with the car. Ain't gonna stay stock RX-8 mods will be done and YES I can afford the car. My 1st choice was G35 coupe but kinda like for a mid life crises type car. So I will get RX-8 and start modify the car. Thanks for all you opinin on this!!

you might be better off with a new s2k, the improved torque makes the rx-8 look bad, the horsepower is already higher, and it looks a lot better for close to the same price give or take a couple thousand. just my two cents.

I love the RX8, if I could afford one I'd get one, or look into a BMW, I love those cars.
