i feel your pain about the intake!
i had injen cAI but i switched mine out for a injen short ram.. just because of that fact.. its a pain to clean the CAI

and i have news for you.. if you ever remove your CAI.. you will notice things that will freak you out.. when you remove the tubing and the filter.. the tubing gets all banged up.. scratched.. and the filter gets deformed.from moving.. and heat. the heat shield may help but god.. my jaw dropped when i removed my cai

if you look right under your trd bumper on the driver side you can see the filter.
i unbolt a few of the bolts from the undercarraige plastics and the trd bumper and take it out from the gap there. takes a bit of work and also you should unbolt the rubber mount.

someone said that you can usesome kind of tape thats thick to fill in the gap.. or you just gotta deal with it.

i think i will just buy a used pair of 03' lights and change the bulbs for the signal.. and reverse.
