I was checking my compression today also, but forgot to take out the fuse for the EFI. In the process of checking the compression, the air/fuel mixed and the car was trying to turn on. At that time, I heard a loud pop, and the compression meter flew right out of the spark plug hole. Could this have damage anything?

I dunno, but it doesn't sound good.

is it a "screw in" compression tester? if so, it could have stripped the threads for the spark plug hole.
also, when you turned the engine over, that cylinder didn't have spark so it didn't fire in that cylinder so the pop was probably from the compression building up in the combustion chamber/cylinder and made the compression tester pop out.

That's a good diagnosis of the problem.

you probably just didnt tighten enough the compression tester thats why it popped out.
