my car has 50k miles on it now, and a mechanic friend was lookin @ my rotors and told me i was developing hotspots and i needed to get a new rotor...i believe him, but i'm gonna ask ya'll what i should do...either

a) buy another stock rotor, fast and cheap
b) ride on it for a while and then get teh AEM big brake upgrade
c) do nothing

yes well, you've seen the choices now choose.

go get em turned if they're warped or squeeking a bit

they're not...they've developed physical hotspots...spots on the rotors that have undergone more stress (heat) than the rest of the rotor...they are actually a bluish tint if you are looking at them...imagine a rotor, and then in the middle of it a blue smudge. That is what it looks like...

well if they still stop well then i chose B

if they are dangerous then replace em.

get some OEM size Brembo slotted and cross drilled rotors

you Know your caliper might be out of wack, not uncommon for single piston brakes.

I go with A, Brembo OEM are $22 each on tirerack.com
