ive seen that you can get TRD lowering springs for like 150 but if you want the shocks too it can cost like 400 dollars. what are the advantages of having shocks over just the springs? and why are they so much more expensive?

Actually you will need shocks any way...
And if you get a TRD springs and your drop not lower than 2" it's not a big deal if you changhe your shocks or just use your stock shocks.
If you have an Extra money get KYB AGX shock ($400) this shocks are ajstbl. So you can change the stifness of your shocks.
Or you can get a TRD shocks they are spetially designe for TRD springs.
And reason why people change the shocks is :Yor shocks are bad,yor shocks are old...and bad,You found better shocks, drop of your car will be lower than 2"...
P.S.But you will be fine with the stock shocks if you install TRD springs.

awesome. my car only has 10,000 miles now, so unless anyone has any reason for me to get these (i dont care about adjustability) im only going to get the TRD lowering Springs and stay on stock shocks.

any objections?

If your ride only has 10k on it, getting the TRD springs alone is no prob being that it is a modest drop and you have little wear on your stock shocks. I actually have pretty much the same scenario goin' on but will still get the TRD struts as well - I'm a TRD fanatic
