I know it sound obvious - but the first thing I would do is put in some good fuel system cleaner and run the crap out of it for a few days. CAI's have been known to cause lean codes on celicas, but I haven't seen those others come up much.

Yikes frown

Did your problem start RIGHT after the Intake install? Did you install it correctly? Might be time to take it to a mechanic.

Hey I am new here but I have the same problem my CEL is on and the code I get is P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected. Was wondering if you figured out what was wrong or how you fixed it???

p0171 is system too lean. That means the cold air from your Intake is colder than what the computer wants. The other two, your catylictic (spelling?) is either clogged or stopped up with soot a little. The misfire is something you may need to have looked at. Obviously that means your first cylinder is misfiring for some reason. Your timing may be off a little. I'd take it to be looked at about that one. But for now, don't worry about the P0171 (just make sure all hoses from Intake are good and correct) and run some octane boost in your gas and maybe even Super (93) octane the next time you get gas. Hope I've helped!

IMO, I'd say all of your codes may be related, but I don't know enough about your car. P0171 is the lean code yes, and probably caused by your Injen CAI which isn't reading the MAF Sensor correctly. You can try the hybrid mod, get another Intake like the TPR, or get a fuel computer to adjust the A/F ration. On P0301, running too lean can cause a misfire, simple as that.

Now I need to ask how many miles are on the car. Did you have a check engine light before the install of the Intake? If not, did the CEL come on soon after the install? Is the P0420 code a stored trouble code or a pending trouble code?

I get my kicks on EC.

I need to know more about your car and what you have done recently to it like an Intake install or not?

go to autozone and get a OBD II scanner. It costs about 100-150 bucks. You should have a little plug right below your dash on driver's side and it should have a black cover on it that says OBD II. That's where you plug it in. Oh yeah, if your car is a 00 gts, there is a factory recall on the injectors and on the ecu. You need to take it to toyota dealership to have them to fix problems.
