ok guys, so i bought this little bottle to fix up a few chips and i did one but the color comes out more grey than silver. the color code it 1d0, and i dunno, i cant get it looking smooth like the normal paint. what am i doing wrong?

u need to get a clear coat bottle too then you have to polish... it's an assload of work frown

You also have to take into consideration how you are applying it. If you are using a paintbrush or somthing along those lines, it's never going be smooth because of the brissels. Real automotive paint is Sprayed on using a constant pressure rating. The only thing that i think would help would be like previously mentioned; paint it on and sand it a little so it's smooth and the paint again until it's all smooth and lastly use a spray can of clear coat. One other thing that will help the smoothness is to pick up a piece of 1000 grit sandpaper and lightly brush it on the entire thing, so the line where the clear coat stops is also smooth.

its not a 5 minute work, do a touch a day.
