I recently installed some blue LED's in my AC console to get it to light up blue at night, and I have like 6 in there now and there are still some dark spots. I literally have to aim them at certain spots to get them to illuminate everywhere, but there are still dark spots. These are 50 times brighter than the stock green bulbs that are orginally in there, but they are LED's, so the light only seems to come out of the very tip of the bulb, and not from the sides like it would with a regular bulb.

My question is, is there anything I can coat the bulb with to disperse the light better? Anything I can do to make the lights come out of the side a little more, instead of it coming solely out of the tip?

Thanks in advance. thumbsup

Dude fuck the LEDs...I did instal'em at first but they are suck... Now i have OPTX 6" neon tube inside of my A/C panel. You can get it online for $10-15 just do the search for OPTX neon. And it' bright and easy to instali but you have to cut the top sides of the black frame. I'll post pictures for you tomorrow.

You can try diffused type of lense..
That will disperse the light much better...
Here is the difference between clear and diffused
