Sometimes an Intake may or may not come with like, a small strip of metal that you can use to attach to the Intake and then screw the other side to the engine bay. Check all of you connections. Also Pop your Hood and hit the throttle a little bit to see exactly what's happening.

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

Try tightening your clamps, maybe one of the clamps is loose so when you accelerate it vibrates it causing a rattling sound...

Yup..pop the Hood and throttle it up and see where its vibrating and tighten it!! It should have came the metal strip he was talking about to tighten down in the engine bay. It may not be that rattleing at all...just look around and let us know..take pics if poss. thumbsup

when you start up or shift gears.
start the car, pull up the hand break, have someone put the car in first and reverse and release the clutch like they are about to turn off, this should put more movement on the engine/tranny through the mounts.incase just starting and revving doesnt produce enough movement to cause the noise.sounds like its hitting something in the engine compartment, but with excessive movement as with when you start up(the motor jerks back and fourth on the mounts and when you shift(same thing happens).

maybe the dampner is not tied on tight enough, its a cylinder bout inch and a half made of rubber and is black, that mught be the trouble all you have to do is tighten that. if thats not the problem do you have a heat shield??? the heat shield onme cracked so it rattles a bit, but then again i have bout 224000 miles on that thing and yes that much and yes the 2000 celica and yes i bought it new
