cold air is always better because like the name it allows cold air to enter the engine, which means better performance.

cai is better, more cold air goes into the engine, more cold air means more oxygen going into the engine, more oxygen means more combustion, more hp...

Yeah, as they just said, Cold Air is better than the Ram Air. It add's the most power.

I'd stick with either Injen or AEM. Those are known brands, and 99% of the people on here that have CAI, have one of the two. They are more expensive then the pro one...but you get what you pay for.

Stick with AEM or Injen...Since you have a 5 spd, I recommend getting the Injen thumbsup

yeah, they are both good. But the ShortRam gives less power. But at least it gives you some power.

There needs to be something done about these intake questions popping up every week. Get a CAI period. Injen or AEM. Nothing more to say or do a search for the hundred of questions and replies on this subject and decide what's best for you and what you are looking for.

Why dont we get a sticky at the top of the Mod forum? Maybe have some CAI faq's and member reviews?

As for your question, I just bought an Injen CAI for my '02 gt MT.

you can also buy the apexi air filter, it will help with the mass air flow, and allow more air to rush in, this is mainly a prob within the 1-4k rpm, a good filter, will boost the air intake..look it up//

Anyways I have an INJEN CAI in my auto GT and I love it. I have also had a shortram, I prefer the CAI

If you change your Injen CAI to AEM CAI you will feel beter changes.
Injen CAI dose not work on AUTO with it full power.

The short ram is right under the hood, so it would suck up the same type of air that the stock box would suck. Warm/hot air. It's just set up differently to allow more air to come in and it allows it to travel with less constriction. With a CAI, the filter is down near the wheel well where the air is noticably cooler. The cooler the air, the more dense it is, and the more power you get out of what air is ingested by your engine.
