prob gonna start building my sub box soon, so i already know what i am doing as far as design goes. i already looked at how much material is gonna be but my question is what thickness of MDF should i use to build the box? i am also gonna have the plexiglass top so you can see the inside of the box. what thickness should this be? im lookin to build somethin like this.

3/4" Is token! Ya, make sure that if you are using plexiglass as a baffle, that your subs are REAL snug. Plexiglass resonates under that kinda of air pressure. That picture looks mad phat! Keep us update on the process.

yeah thats what i was thinkin for thickness. i have also heard 1" thickness for the plexiglass. is this good or too thick? im runnin 3 12" and the only spaces in the actual box that the subs are gonna be in is a small hole for the neon light wire and the wire for the subs. will this interfere with the subs? like will i hear a loud whistle ever time the subs hit? im wonderin if there is a small rubber gromet or somethin to use to slip the wires through but keep the air from comin through.

Street glow makes a light kit that is used for that, I know of someone who just wired directly to the subs but he was a dumb $h!t in general so I guess you can try to hard wire it directly and if it doesn't work out go to street glow[/color]
