Clear Bumper Lenses

This is a pretty easy install, if you have patience. If not, your better off to get your dealer, or a after market shop to install these. Approximate time to completion for this install is about 15 - 20 minutes

Materials Required:
Small Ratchet
8mm socket (5/16 socket will also work)
new bumper lenses
** new bulb's if you don't want the light color to be stock-yellowish

Below is the picture of the lens that we will be removing. It would be advisable to start with the left hand side, as this side is more difficult. There is a box containing some electronics or something right behind the lens, so there is very little room to work with. The Left side took me approx. 25 minutes to do, as I was taking pictures along the way. The Right side took me about 4 minutes.

Take your car and angle the wheels like so. This will aid you in the install by making lots of room for you to work with. Do not crank the wheel all the way as this will get in your way too. Probably about half the way that the wheel can turn is good.

Remove the plug from the wheel well. This plug holds the plastic molding to the metal in the wheel well. It can be removed simply by popping the head up and then pulling out. Below is a picture to help you locate this plug.

Once the plug is removed, pull out the plastic molding slightly into the wheel well so you can get your hand behind the bumper lens

Here is a close up of the bumper lens behind that plastic piece we just slid out of position.

Twist the bulb housing toward the rear of the car in order to remove it.

Take the bulb housing out from behind the bumper and place it like so, in order to get it out the the way.

Now take your ratchet and your 8mm socket and slide this behind the bumper. You will place it on a bolt that looks like the one in the picture below. Just unscrew these all the way and remove them.

Once you have removed the two bolts, the lens will slide right out of the bumper.

At this point, take the bulb housing and feed it back into the bumper, and through the big hole where you removed the lens from (This is where you would change the bulb to another color if you wanted to)

Next screw it into the new bumper lens, and then repeat all the steps we did in the reverse order to re-install the lens. Make sure you replace that screw that hold the plastic shield in the wheel well to the body.

Here is a picture of what it looks like when its installed. Much better then that ugly orange marker. Now repeat on the opposite side.
