hello all! new to the site and in need of help

2002 celica GT (no mods really)

having problems with my heat...it seems to only kick out cold air (but its fine in the summer time) ...now SOMETIMES the heat will come on but only in short bursts...usually after 30 minutes atleast of the car being on..and the heat will only last aobut 1 minute then go back to cold... i also notice it will briefly kick on around 80mph/5000rpms or higher ..i dont know if this is coincidental or not...

any ideas what it could be or what i should look for? thermostat? heatercore? please advise!!

by the way ive been in mobile electronics field for 7 years specializing in alarm/remote starts so if anyone needs assistance feel free to ask!!

thank you!

You are likely just low on anti-freeze and have an airlock in your heater core.

Run your car up to operating temperature, full your reservoir up, shut it off & let your car cool completely. You may have to repeat this a few times until it stops sucking fluid into the radiator.

As said this could be that you are low on fluid, it is also possible that your thermostat could have failed. or your heater matrix is blocked.
