  Problem with my celi

2001 Silver Celica GT-S

Basically my car won't accelerate, i step on the gas it revs up but it won't move I have to rev over 6k just to get it moving, i recently put a CAI in, and thought that might be it so i swapped it back to the old air systems and still nothing, so any help would be most grateful .

If it is an automatic it sounds like the transmission seals are gone.... Sorry.

Its a manual actually 2001 GTS only has 30k miles on it so i figured the tranmission or clutch wouldn't be having any problems yet.

Well your clutch is gone replace it. I had that same problem sometimes I had to start out in 2nd gear to start going a little bit. On my way to get it replaced the clutch completely went out and the car was just revving up, but going no where. I am positive its your clutch.

Depends of what clutch you get but roughly around 600-700 installed.

do s search on the performance tuning section, this questions been done before and the info is very good. i went for rps clutch + fidanza flywheel. $1000 + install
