2000 Spectra Blue Celica GT-S

Just few days ago I noticed my car staring todo this, when ever i idol in nutral the RPS are staying about 1k. When I try and go abouve 3k rpm's and put on full gas its over revering then sitting their a sec then it goes back down, then stars to go up again. Any Idea's iI dont know to much about cars...

RPS=RPM?

So the RPM goes up and down when you are in N or when you are actually shifting between gears?

If you are talking about the car engaging, then it could be your clutch.

If the RPM just trips out, check out the fuses. Mine was doing this and found out that 1 fuse was blown on the kick panel, and another one on the engine bay.

Sounds like your IAC valve is going to me.

^^ yeah, you might wanna try ceaning it. When there's too much buildup, the spindle gets stuck and causes a retarded idle.
