MTEC bulbs are rated at the same class as PIAA. They are NOT some cheap bulbs you see on the market. MTEC bulbs are made with the latest technology and highest quality.

MTEC's white light closly matches that of sunlight:
MTEC 2x is bright and is a significant upgrade to stock.
MTEC 4x is slightly brighter than 2x and shines a further distance.

Because of the technology that MTEC uses in it's bulbs, MTEC 2x runs cooler than stock and MTEC 4x runs at about the same temperature as stock

Off-brand bulbs that are available at your local pepboys, target, autozone..etc run at a higher temperature than stock - even with the correct wattage installed. For those off-brands, you should use caution.
