How to remove the center console for a manual.
Automatic is very similar.

Tools needed:
Hands
Medium Point Phillips screwdriver.

Start with the bottom portion

Grab at the rear and pull straight up. Only until it unclicks.

Continue around the center plastic piece popping all of the clips out. Next pull the rear up and the front down to remove the tabs from the bottom of the A/C controls

If you have a manual you can either uncrew the shift knob by turning it counter-clockwise or pop the boot off from underneath. Just pull down on the metal spring clips.

Move the center aside and locate the cig. lighter white power and ground quick disconnect.
Pust the clip on the disconnect down and pull both pieces apart. This should come apart very easily. Do not force it.

Next pull the three knobs and the slider off. These comes off with a little pressure. This again should come off very easy. Do not force them.

Using the screwdriver remove the four screws. Do not lose them. Also remember which screws go where. Two of the them are different from the other two.

Grab the center portion and pull away from the center.

You can see where the clips are located on this shot, these clips should come out pretty easy. You just have to pull out on the bottom and up on the top.

At the top remove the power quick disconnect from the clock. Push down on the clip in the rear and straight out. Do not force this. It should come out very easily.

Everything is now removed.

At this point if you wish to disable the DRLs. Follow these instructions. You have to cut this wire.

disconnecting this single light bulb or cig socket will not affect your car in the least bit
