What brand hoodpins should I buy?Hoodpins are hoodpins - They are all basically the same design, only with different company names printed on them - oh, and the price is quite different too.
When it comes to modding your car, hoodpins are probably one of the only parts where it doesn’t matter who makes them, they are all going to be very similar products and perform basically the same way once finally installed.

The EverythingCelica store sells hoodpins - but rather than putting on the Sparco that we have here, I opted for MOMO because they were less expensive for me, and I could get them in powder-coated red.
I held the MOMO and SPARCO hoodpins next to each other - and there was no way I would have been able to tell the difference if they had both been silver – they were identical in appearance!
So when buying hoodpins, shop for the exact look that you want and at the price you are willing to pay for them. There is no need to buy these used, when you can by them brand new for only a couple dollars more.
The average price range most speed-shops sell hoodpins for is between $20 to $35 (set of two hoodpins), depending on the brand name printed on them.

Also available are hoodlocks, which are basically the same thing as hoodpins, except they have a locking mechanism. The average price range of these is between $35 and $50 (set of two hoodlocks)
