There is no kill switch, i tested it, heres how you can test your alarm.

1) get in car
2) close doors
3) arm alarm system
4) wait till it gets armed
5) try to start car

OR

1) roll down windows
2) arm alarm
3) try to unlock the driver side door by reaching in side (Alarm will go off if you unlock the door)
4) attempt to start car while alarm is going off

If it starts, you dont have a kill switch.

This is very cool how you know all this stuff about celicas and i have done the shortened anntenna, break caliper paint, auto un-lock bulb color changes and day time running light disconection. Every thing that you have supplied is very helpful and 100 % correct thanks for all the help. Scott 2000 celica GT-S

I also tried to do this. When I tried everything went fine until the last step, then the alarm beeped 4X and the doors locked/unlocked 4x simultaneously. Tried it several times over the last week, same results and I still have to press the unlock button twice!
Is there a different sequence for the different model years??? Mine's a 00 GT-S.

What is a kill button?
I used my key to open the door of my matrix. The alarm starts and I can not start my car. I have to push the unlock button in remote control to stop alarm. Is there anyway to disarm the alarm with the key only???
